Our teams at John Howie Steak (Bellevue), Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar (Bellevue) and Beardslee Public House (Bothell) have each created several delicious (and simple!) prepare-at-home options that are sure to delight the special lady in your life.

Each Mother’s Day menu reflects favorites from each restaurant and every package comes with all you need – seasonings and my simple preparation instructions – to quickly put together a memorable culinary experience for Mom’s day off. Your household may even believe you have become a professional chef overnight. Don’t worry, your secret will be safe with me!

I think it goes without saying right now that our first priority is the safety of our guests and employees. We have adapted new procedures to ensure everything about our restaurant – from food preparation to curbside delivery – provides a safe environment for all. Inside the restaurant, we vigilantly clean and disinfect all surfaces and high-touch areas with an anti-viral sanitizer. All crew members wash hands regularly and wear masks + gloves at all times. We also practice social distancing and extend this to the delivery of curbside meals, directly into the cars of our guests for extra protection. In addition, last month, we installed air scrubbers at each restaurant. An air scrubber is an air cleaning device that removes 99 percent of all viral and bacterial contaminants in the air and on surfaces. We believe this investment is helping to create a clean and safe restaurant environment for the preparation of food, for our employees and eventually for our valued and loyal guests when we are able to reopen the dining room.  

I hope you enjoy a wonderful Mother’s Day celebrating the special Mom in your life. I will be spending the day with my wonderful wife Debbie, whom I have been married to for 29 years this week! She is an incredible mother to our sons and grandmother to our two grandchildren (who are the lights of our life). Debbie and all the moms in our lives deserve to be treated like queens everyday – and especially on this day!
