On March 22, Youth Eastside Services (YES) is hosting its annual Invest in Youth Breakfast to raise awareness about the plight and problems of struggling youth in our community.
As co-chair of the YES Invest in Youth Breakfast, it is my pleasure to invite you to come join my wife Debbie and I for a wonderful breakfast get-together, where you will meet other like-minded community leaders and hear first-hand stories about the challenges and successes of young people who often live on the fringes of society, coping with addiction, abuse and a wide spectrum of mental trauma, without any hope or expectation of a better, brighter future.
Youth Eastside Services (YES) has been working tirelessly as a lifeline for these endangered youths and their families in the East King County area since 1968. Their evidence-based mental health counseling, education and treatment programs have brought hope and compassion in the lives of countless young individuals struggling with depression, grief, gender-identity issues, ADHD, autism, eating disorders, self-esteem issues and so much more.
No youth or family is ever turned away at YES. And it is the enthusiastic support from our friends and donors in the community that has assisted and inspired YES in realizing its mission to build an inclusive society where no young individual is ever devalued or lost.
The Invest in Youth Breakfast fundraiser draws 1,000+ generous and concerned individuals every year, who want to support YES with donations or be involved with its projects in other ways. In 2016, the event raised $625,000 for the YES cause, and we’re expecting a full house for breakfast this time as well.
